Learn From People
Who Actually Do This

Chris Thompson

Master Technician · Lead Instructor

Chris has diagnosed and repaired every major appliance brand in production over a career spanning decades. He built Servicer Edge from scratch because no existing software understood what a working tech actually needs on a job. At TASA, he teaches diagnosis the way the best technicians think — systematically, without shortcuts.

Joy Thompson

Operations Director · Business Systems Instructor

Joy runs the business side of everything Chris fixes. She teaches students how to turn technical skills into a profitable service operation — scheduling, invoicing, warranty billing, customer communication, and building a referral base that fills your calendar without advertising.

Most graduates have one of three paths: (1) get hired by a regional appliance service company, (2) get authorized as a manufacturer warranty technician, or (3) start their own independent service route. We provide 90 days of post-graduation support and connect you with our network of service partners.
We limit each training session to a maximum of 16–20 students. Our huge facility between Rutherfordton and Lake Lure gives us plenty of space for everyone to get real hands-on time every day — but we keep numbers small enough for individual attention, a real teaching relationship with Chris and Joy, and plenty of appliance time. We will never compromise this to pack in more seats.
